Here's something to distract you: haikus in Irish. I'm aware that I'm not able to follow the real rules of haikus, and that any haikus I produce aren't really haikus at all but probably more likely to be a senryu ... but if I write 'Senryu in Irish' I doubt I'd get many replies.

I'm sure macfhionn would be interested.
Haikus in Irish (and Scottish Gaelic and Welsh) seem to be a hobby of his. |

Well, blixt, you are following the 5-7-5 pattern. And in the spirit of Basho and his cohorts who wrote their haiku amongst narratives of their travels, using the sensibility of the previous one to connect to the following, I would have to say:
tá mo shaol go breá
ag foghlaim le mo chairde
aon anam amháin
my life is so nice
learning with my good friends here
one soul together _________________ Wait for at least two confirmations or corrections on this/these translations. Completion of a good translation may take time. Go ra' ma'ad.

I like generally composing haikus.
Réaltóg ag titim

Again, drawing from the previous haiku:
níl sa réaltacht ach
an titim is an t-éirí
an bhfuil a fhíos againn
what's reality
but falling and then rising
do we know for sure? _________________ Wait for at least two confirmations or corrections on this/these translations. Completion of a good translation may take time. Go ra' ma'ad.
