This is for Scottish Gaelic, not Irish, but it may be of interest...

This is for Scottish Gaelic, not Irish, but this seems a good place to mention this for future reference,

www.savegaelic.org has a collection of learners' forums (fora?) much like what we have here, only for Scottish Gaelic. There is one entitled "How do you say..." where one can request a translation. They use the same PHP format as we do, and you must register before posting. Be aware that it might be a day or two before someone responds over there, since their forum isn't yet as active as this one.

Hi, mhwombat.

My Language Exchange is not a free community. you can register for free but you have to pay if you want to use the chat room or send messages to other members of the community.

www.SharedTalk.com is a FREE community whose members are willing to learn foreign languages and teach their native languages to others members.

Valentin. Very Happy

There is a very helpful website, in both English and Irish, with lots of links to what is happening through and with the Irish language today.

www.gaeilge.ie

No harm to have a look!

This is a new one with a growing number of links. Everything from language courses to Gaeltacht tourism companies to State Agencies for Irish and more.

I noticed that IGT isn't yet included in the Useful websites for Learning Irish section.

Perhaps one of the "big shots" here would like to submit info for IGT on the Resource List - Request page?
