This thread looks a little stagnant... but I think it's still the best place to introduce myself (instead of just lurking around the forum like I've been doing ^_^ ):
Dia dhaoibh, gach duine. Is mise Becky. Tá mé i mo chónaí i Illinois. Níl agam ach beagáinín Gaeilge. Is maith liom mythology agus ceol. Tá mé ag seinm an fhidil agus an piano. Tá mé a code monkey (AKA computer programmer). Tá an-áthas orm casadh leaibh.
Please do not be fooled; I had to look up several of those words. Also, I know leat is le + you (singular), but what is le + you (plural)? I took a guess and used leaibh.

Is smaoineamh maith é sin... Fáilte don fhóram a Becky! Is mise David; táim i mo chónaí i New York State agus is maith liom riomhchlarú (computer programming, ceapaim) freisin.
(Níl ach beagán Gaeilge agam chomh maith tar éis breis agus ceithre bliana anseo... )
David

Dia is Muire dhuit, a Becky! Is mise Redwolf, agus tá mé ag foghlaim Gaeilge le ceithre bhliain go leith anuas. Tá mé i mo chónaí i gCalifornia. Is ceoltóir atá ionam fosta. Seinnim ar an chláirseach Cheilteach agus ar an fheadóg stáin, agus is amhránaí mé. Is deas bualadh leat! Fáilte go dtí an fóram!

Tá brón orm. Should've used the Irish form of my
name, Seán Mac an Rí.

in my name book, I find two versions for 'King' - Ó Cionga and Mac Fhinn
It does not appear that the name King is related in any way to the word 'king'.
