Tá mé i mo "data technician."

Correct form? Data technician is my current job, but not really what I consider myself to be.

Maith thú, a Jessica!

Just one little tweak: When numbering things, you use "dhá" for "two," and you actually use the singular after it (lenited, if possible), so "Tá dhá mhadra agam"

So, if I was just counting. (1,2,3.) then the use of dó would be correct? But if I was to say 3 cats it would be trí cat(chat?)? Just wanting to make sure I understand this right. Thanks for pointing out my error!

Yep, that's right. Actually, if you're just counting, you would say "a haon, a dó, a trí" etc.

But "three cats" would be "trí chat."

To make things even more confusing, when you get to "seacht" (I think...might be sé. I'll have to look that up again), you start using eclipsis instead of lenition, so "seacht mbád" (seven boats)

It gets even more complicated when you get to counting people!

I still have to refer to notes periodically when numbering things...it's not something I do very often, so I always have to think about it.

Slán go fóill.

Cúpla focal gach lá!!

1 - You can say ''tá mé ag dul go dtí an Ollainn'' but you can also use the chun na but it causes the genitive case.
2 - Nuair a causes lenition.
3 - In Ulster instead of ''gach'' they use achan instead and this causes lenition apart from D,T,S.

This is very good by the way, keep it up a chara!
