Can anyone translate Peaceful Island to Gaelic for me? I know Island is Inis. Thanks!

Peaceful as in absence of war or peaceful as in tranquility? Different words in Irish.

Maybe I should explain. After many years of struggle and conflict, my daughter and I have a farm of our own. It's a beautiful peaceful place, that I've been referring to as my own private island. So I've decided to name it something like Peaceful Island. Does that help?

Hi, that helps a lot indeed. Some ideas for "Peaceful Island":

An tOileán Síothach

An tOileán Suaimhneach

Both means "The Peaceful Island". I amn't sure but I've a feeling that it works better in Irish with the article included. Definitely wait for more opinions, please.

Oh, how silly I am. I have been trying to be so precise and correct, making sure the translation was just right. I've been trying to be too literal! My new farm is truly my peaceful island, on the inside! It's where I go to find peace, not an actual island, therefore a literal translation just didn't fit.

It may seem Hoakie, or too commercial, but the perfect name has been staring me in the face, and the heart, all the time.

The new farm is Innisfree. Yeats was seeking internal peace, so am I. It's perfect.

Thanks to all who tried to help!
