I recently found an old book written in Gaelic. Its content is unknown to me and the only information I understood was the publication date, 1840, written in roman numerals. The title page is written as follows:
TRAETHAWD
AM
YR YSBRYD GLAN;
YN YR HWN YR YMDRINIR AM
EI ENW, EI NATUR, EI BERSONOLIAETH,
EI ORUCHWYLIAETH, EI WEITHREDIADAU,
A'I EFFEITHIAU;
Ac y gwneir sylwadau eglurhaol ac amddiffynol
ar ei holl waith
YN YR HEN GREADIGAETH A'R NEWYDD;
------
GAN Y PARCH. JOHN OWEN, D.D.,
Gynt Is-Ganghellydd Athrofa Rhydychain.
-----
WEDI EI GYFIEITHU YN BENAF O DALFYRIAD
Y PARCH. G. BURDER,
GAN OWEN JONES.
---
WYDDGRUG:
ARGRAFFWYD, A CHYHOEDDWYD, GAN
HUGH AC OWEN JONES.
---
MDCCCXL

At least I hope this is Gaelic, because that took a while to type. Thank you in advance, I look foward to your responses.
