Er...it's not an Irish name. I'm sure there are people with all kinds of foreign names living in Ireland (and I'm sure someone can take a look at a phone book for you if you like), but the name itself isn't Irish. Looks like it might be German or Dutch.

"Glattfelder" is a Swiss surname. Originally it means someone from Glattfelden, which is a town about thirty minutes away from here, near the German border.
