What we need to ascertain is what you mean by "soulmate." We've discovered here over the years that Europeans seem to interpret it to means something like a very close friend, whereas Americans are more likely to interpret it as your "fated lover"...the person you're destined to spend eternity with. The term itself is relatively new, and doesn't have a set Irish translation, so in order to help you, we need to know which meaning you intend.

Yes, if the "lover" meaning is intended, that's what I would go with as well.

Jennifer, that literally translates to "true love." If you wanted to say "My true love," it would be "M'fhíorghrá."
