Dear All and Sundry,
I know it's a bit early to be thinking about Christmas but does anyone have lyrics (and perhaps music) to any traditional Irish Christmas carols sung in the Irish language? The ones I have were translated from the English and I was hoping some of you out there would be able to refresh my memory with the ones I grew up with but can no longer write down.
This is a genuine request as I am to present one of them to a group of critical listeners next week *gulp*
I can send you a box of TimTams in return......
Is mise le meas,

Have you taken a looksie at the frequent translations section as of yet? The might be some pretty good links over there! _________________ ~Ríobhca~

Someone posted a link a while back to Christmas carols in Irish, but I think they were the same old traditional carols.

I should come in here more often!
I cannot thank you enough for the kind posting of songs. I've managed to get a few down in time for tonight's presentation and I'm just rapt.
Shall I let you know how it goes? The choir I'm singing with doesn't want to do Irish - it would appear they're afraid of it. Perhaps this is my chance to give the language a "plug". I'm so excited.....
Fingers crossed I don't break something. Haha!!
