Trying to translate Luceo non uro to english
and i want it to be reversed back to Gaelic
i want to make sure i'm right.

Luceo non uro > to English = I shine not burn ( i think)

I burn not shine > to gaelic = ?

Is this correct? uro Non Luceo

That seems to be Latin and reversing it won't turn it into Irish

No. "Luuro" and "non" aren't Irish words, and "ceo" means "mist/fog." Where in heaven's name did you get that?

BTW, if this is one of those "family" motto things, it almost certainly wasn't in Irish to begin with. Those things were almost always in Latin, English, or Norman French. Heraldry was not a Gaelic tradition. So I'm not sure what you mean by "reversed back to Gaelic," as it most certainly wasn't "Gaelic" to begin with.

Luceo non Uro, I shine but do not burn (Latin, with a picture of the sun)... One of the mottos of my own clan 'MacLeod'... Not sure if there would be a very meaningful equivalent in either of our languages.
