Helloooo !
I would like a Gaelic translation of the word "stardust". I've searched everywhere online to no avail. It's hard for me to believe there's no word for it! Thanks for the help :)

I'd say réaldheannach, cf. star shower réalchith, star stream réalsruth (foclóir réalteolaíochta).

Looks good, a Sheáin. :gut:

There is also an adjective réaltach, but deannach réaltach would be "stellar dust", the more mundane stuff.

I see what you are aiming at there, Emphyrio, but you seem to be missing a few t's here and there.

I'm not sure I'm surprised. Isn't the concept of 'stardust' an imaginary concept of the modern era? It's not necessarily part of Irish culture/mythology or whatever anyway. I note that the dictionary (FGB) gives réalt- as a prefix (as opposed to réal-).

réaltdeannach / réaltdusta
The money-grabbing wankers who control this site can ban me too. Talk about recruiting trolls! I've spent enough time putting money in their pockets.

If you search for "stellar" on focal.ie, all the terms have réalt-.

"star-dust" is a group of stars, when viewed with a naked eye resembles a cloud of dust, so.... perhaps something like...

réaltscamall - star-cloud
réaltréimse - star-field
réaltbhraisle - star-cluster

...might work :gruebel:
Please always wait for others to correct/confirm my translations.
