How do you say "I saw the Whole of the moon" (as in the song by the Waterboys) in gaelic?
Is it different to saying the whole moon?
Is this correct?

Not quite. that says "Saw a whole moon". iomlán can be a noun or an adjective, Irish adjectives always go after the noun. Chonaic mé gealach iomlán = I saw a whole moon Chonaic mé iomlán an ghealaí = I saw the whole of the moon. In the latter, I have used iomlán as a noun, which requires any following nouns to be in the genitive (Genetive of gealach is gealaí, and an causes lenition) As always, wait for corrections  Ar scáth a chéile a mhairimid
