I think it might be a bit foul but any help would be appreciated. A friend told me this person is mixing dialects and could not help....

The derf comment may be a thread hijack to be split off (unless he/she was just commenting that the wish to respond in kind is another story). gus arís, más féidir leat - Tá an-áthas orm chun gaeilge a labhairt leat chun mo náisiúntacht a chruthú.
I think you can drop the first chun.
