Hey,
i am planning on getting a tattoo that says family forever in Gaelic. I have been looking around for a translation and i have come up with two different kinds. The first one is Teághlac gu Bráth and the second Teághlac Siorraidh. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could take a look at this and see which one is correct or if its translated completely different.

You have some misspellings. All three of these work, but the last one is more like "family eternally":

Teaghlach go deo
Teaghlach go brách
Teaghlach go síoraí

Note that you may want to use muintir in place of teaghlach. Not all speakers agree precisely on this, but in Irish, teaghlach usually refers to the folks in your household; muintir usually refers to a broader category of people (depending on the context, it can mean your whole family or clan, beyond just the ones in your home, or even your tribe or your “people”). You're absolutely right!

In Gàidhlig, either teaghlach gu bràth or teaghlach gu sìorraidh will work (note the direction of the accents), and are about equal, and the issue of muinntir (that's how it's spelled in Gàidhlig) probably doesn't arise, since it more clearly means "folk" or "people" there.
