Perhaps you meant sons' rather than son's? I'm guessing it was a typo, but since so many people are unclear on the use of the apostrophe, here's an explanation. (If you already know this, please ignore it and don't be offended.)

my son's birthdate = the birthdate of my [one] son
my sons' birthdate = the birthdate of my [multiple] sons
