Hello all,
I'm trying to come up with a creative name for a male character of mine. I've searched numerous Celtic name websites but can't seem to find one that suits my needs and was wondering if someone on here could give me a hand?
I'm seeking a name or a one word phrase of saying:
"he who walks in the shadows" or "one who walks in the shadows" or something along those lines...
Does such a name or phrase (one word that could be used as a name) exist in Gaeilge?
Thank you much for your help.

The word for "shadow" is scáth. It appears to have been in use as a prefix for "shadowy things". For instance, scáthshlua means "phantom host/horde".
Perhaps:
Scáithshiúlóir "Shadow-walker"

Scáithshiúlóir "Shadow-walker" SKAW-hyoo-loorh (hyoo is like the first syllable in "human"; loorh rhymes with door) /skɑ:h´u:Lo:r´/
