I need to double check on a couple translations for a tattoo my brother and i are getting for eachother...
mine will say: i am my brother's keeper
("is mise coimeádaí mo dheartháireacha" i was told.. and i believe its plural, which is good because i have 2 brothers)
and his will say: i am my sister's keeper (it would be singular, because i am his only sister)
your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
"Brother's" IS singular. Did you actually mean "brothers' "? That's how the possessive plural is formed in English. Punctuation makes one hell of a huge difference.
If you meant "brothers' ", then "
Is mise coimeádaí mo dheartháireacha" is correct.
For "I am my sister's keeper," "
Is mise coimeádaí mo dheirféar" is what you want.
Wait for more.
