Hello all,
I am preparing to get a new tattoo celebrating my irish heritage. Some where on it, id like to include a Gaelic translation of the phrase "Duty now for the Future". Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I personally believe that is one of our civil responsabilties to better our communities by volunteering or giving donations, thus paving the road for a better a future. I myself volunteer at my local humane society animal shelter. I heard the phrase "Duty now for the future" on a DEVO record and it has stuck ever since.

You can replace am am atá le teach (the time that is yet to come) to "an todhchaí" (the future)
Await confirmation always, please.

Or, keeping it more like a slogan:
dualgas anois ar son an todhchaí duty now for the sake of the future It's a bit cryptic in Irish that way (that is, without saying "I do my duty"), but then so is the English version, so if you'd be comfortable with that in English, then the irish version ought to be ok. I'm still a learner, so be sure to get input from others, especially for tattoos.

I think that should be: ar son an am atá le teacht. Warning: Reasonable command of Irish - but I still make basic errors.
