I'm looking for a good one-word translation of strength or strong for a tattoo. This word holds a lot of different meaning for me, and I'm looking for something that can be applied pretty generally -- strength of will, strength of heart, strength through family, etc. I've come across neart, tréan, and láidir. I know neart is strength and the other two are strong, but what is the difference between them all?
Thanks!! bree

Láidir is a broad adjective and covers most of the usual meanings of "strong". As a noun, it can also mean "strong person, strong creature"
Tréan also means "strong" but in a specialized sense (close to what you want) and tends towards "powerful, intense". As a noun, it can also mean "strong man, warrior, champion" and "strength".
Neart is a noun only and means "strength, plenty, ability"
