Ag tabhairt fola, ag fanacht dílis.
Warning: Reasonable command of Irish - but I still make basic errors.

I should know better than to second-guess myself. I wanted to say "fola," but I'd only ever heard it in this context after "cuid," so decided I must be wrong. Note to self...next time go with gut. Redwolf

Languages aren't codes for one another. "Exact," word-for-word correlations between languages almost never exist...you have to paraphrase. Irish expresses things quite differently from English, and uses a different syntax to boot. If the precise wording is that important to you, you'd do best to keep it in English. Redwolf

Exact wording is only important to me because they're lyrics to a song that means a lot to me and will be tattoed down my spine. I will keep this translation after a few confirmations. Thank you again for your help. =]

You won't get a more exact translation than this. It is good to go.
