hi,
i'm getting a tattoo with the meanings of each leaf and i wanted to be sure of the right translation of each word. i've found more than one translation and want to know which is right..
these are the words:
-Faith
-Hope
-Love
-Luck

Why not post what you have, and we could tell you if they're right or not. Here's my list of suggestions in the meantime..

There are a few words for faith depending on what kind of faith you mean
creideamh ~ faith as in "belief"
muinín ~ faith as in "trust"
dílse or dílseacht faith as in "loyalty"
dóchas ~ hope
grá ~ love
ádh ~ luck

Please wait for confirmation on my suggestions. We recommend getting 3 in agreement here on any translation given.

"Dílse" is "faith" as in "loyalty/fidelity." Which translation you use for "faith" will depend on what you mean by it.

You do know that the four-leafed clover is not an Irish symbol, yes? The Irish symbol is the shamrock, which has three leaves.

yes,but i like the meaning of the 4 leaves

so the 4 words i have posted in irish in my last post are spelled correctly and are the correct word? and are written with the right accent?
