I need help translating from english to gaelic. Can anyone help me? I am trying to translate "one fear" into gaelic. if it changes anything, this is in a religious sense. Thanks

[aon] eagla amháin
The aon helps keep the meaning clear - could otherwise also mean "only fear".
I'm still a learner, so be sure to get input from others, especially for tattoos.

You have to give more context I'd say..
Ba mhaith liom lámh chúnta a thabhairt d'éinne atá ag foghlaim agus ba mhaith liom déanamh amhlaidh mé fhéin.

Perhaps "níl ach aon eagla amháin agam"...I only have one fear (?)
Or if it's from a Biblical quote, if you can give us chapter and verse, we can look and see how An Bíobla Naofa has it.

What I meant was what type of fear is involved in what context. "One fear" that connects us, that separates us, that unifies us, that has nothing got to do with us but the self? Religious, physical, spiritual, educational, tribal, temporal? Of Life, Death, of Being of not Being?

Wow. thank you everybody. I apologize for the lack of context.
Well off the top of my head I can not remember where the verse is, but in the Bible, it is said that we are supposed to only have one fear in this life and that fear should be God.

so basically to answer rossai's question... i guess it should be the fear that unifies us. and also has religious meaning.
