I was wanting to know if there would be anyone who would be able to translate the term "Live Free" into Irish. I am wanting to get a tattoo done with those words done in the Irish language. It will be partly to remember a very good friend of mine that was killed in an accident a few years ago. He had only come out from Ireland to Australia a few years before he passed away. To live free is one of the things that I try and live my life by. If there is anyone that can help out it would be a great help.

Hi
lets see if I can get this right today without soaring… :)

The literal translation is "Mair go Saor" (Live Freely), however saor can also mean cheap, so it could mean “live cheaply”.
So an altervative might be:
Mair gan srian - Live without restraint
or
Caith do shaol gan srian - Live life without restraint
Please always wait for others to correct/confirm my translations.
