All i've know about Cancer is.....the Sun causes Skin Cancer, if you masturbate, you apparently have less of a chance of prostate cancer, the girls at my school get needles for cervical cancer, my dad probably has..well i think there is a high chance he has lung cancer since he smokes 30 fags a day and hasn't seen a doctor in over 10 years.

And I didn't know Leukemia was Cancer (learn something knew everyday)

Hi from OZ to all you guys who posted a reply. Cancer worldwide is a major problem, and out here it is no different. As we know there are many types of cancer and lots of different treatments. Over 1500 people die here each year from skin cancer alone. Melanomas are the deadliest form of skin cancers in OZ. Very recently, TV station channel 9 aired a programme titled "Lifesaver," here in OZ, on its sunday night edition of 60 Mins. The reporter is Liz Hayes and should be viewed by all who live here and those about to visit us. It deals exclusively with the lives of two different Australians who have this deadly form of cancer, and the invention by the ROCHE pharmecutical firm of a remarkable cancer pill named PLX4032.This is a show that will have you riveted to your seat and may even bring a lump to your throat. If you experience any difficulty in getting on to the 60 mins website, I am positive that Liz Hayes will have it on hers. I will be looking forward to your future comments re same. JAMES D

The incidence of Malignant Melanoma is higher in people of Celtic ancestry. The studies about non-ejaculation and prostate cancer have been inconclusive. Most studies were done comparing the rates in the celibate but of course being celibate doesn't mean being non-ejaculatory. Some studies have shown Catholic Priests with a higher incidence and some have shown them to have a lower incidence. Designing a definitive study to answer this question would be almost impossible.

I wouldn't say so. I knew way more about cancer when I was 15.

Don't know why it should come as a shock. All types of skin cancer, including melanoma, are caused by sun damage, and fair-skinned people are more susceptible to sun damage. We evolved in a climate that made the skin's ability to maximize the use of the sun's rays to manufacture vitamin D more important than the risk of damage from overexposure. When fair-skinned people started relocating to areas where sunshine was both more regular and more intense, what was once an advantage became a weakness.

Likewise, when people with dark skins move to areas where exposure to sunlight is more limited, they need to be extra careful to supplement vitamin D.

Freshman biology.
