My sister and I want to add some text to a celtic knot tat we both have. "Sisters by blood, friends by choice." Is this correct?
deirfiúracha de fuil, cairde de rogha
Thanks!

I would suggest "Deirfiúracha ó dhúchas" for sisters by blood.
Deirfiúracha de fuil
that should be:
Deirfiúracha d'fhuil
I'm still not sure if it's the right preposition, and I don't know what to suggest.
Warning: Reasonable command of Irish - but I still make basic errors.

Does "dhúchas" translate more like "by birth"? I wasn't sure if by translation of blood was blood literally that flowed in your veins or if it could be used as it is in English and refer to a relationship or familial tie.
