Hi all.
I lost my wife a year ago to cancer and was thinking of getting a tattoo on the aniversary of her passing.
She was born in Donaghadee and moved out to Australia when she was 12
We were together for 12 years and I have a beautiful 5 year old daughter (Ashlyn) to remind me how special her mum was.
Not sure if this would translate directly but happy to listen to suggestions if it doesnt.
Something along the lines of :

Alison, my beautiful Irish Angel.
You are in my heart forever
Our Love is eternal

sorry to hear about your loss .i no how you feel nd how hard it is to cope .at the moment am having treatment for throat cancer so my thoughts are with you and ya family
well to get things going for you
Alison, m'aingeal álainn
Mo chroí ná do chroí, go deo na ndeoir

Are you able to give the literal translation?
After reading a little, i assume that Mo chroí ná do chroí, go deo na ndeoir translates to My Heart Is your heart, ever and always?
What about Mairfidh ár ngrá go brách ?
And good luck with your treatment.
Alison beat the odds for two years after being told she only had a couple of months.
I know its hard but fight for every single day!

I'd put this as:

A Alison, a aingeal álainn Éireannach,
Cónóidh tú istigh i mo chroí go deo.
Is tusa mo shíorghrá.

Alison, my beautiful Irish angel,
You will dwell in my heart forever.
You are my eternal love.

That sounds spot on!
Would it still translate correctly if I were to leave out A Alison at the start?
ie: My Irish Angel, etc.
And would you be able to give me the correct pronunciation?

Should that be: "a aingil álainn Éireannaigh"

"Cónóidh tú" is maybe strictly correct, but I don't think it's used in that form in the future tense. I would suggest:

"Beidh cónaí ort i mo chroí go deo"

or simply:

"Beidh tú i mo chroí go deo"

I think the 'A' before Alison could be left out.

a aingil álainn Éireannaigh
(My Beautiful Irish Angel)

Beidh tu i mo chroi go deo
(You will always be in my heart)

Is tusa mo shíorghrá.
(You are my eternal love)

Looks good to me
Put a fada on the i in chroí

And a fada on the "u" in "tú"
