Can you tell me which is correct:

Oiche na scuaba fadacha. Oiche na scuaba fadach. Oiche na scuaba fhadaca. Or will you please translate it correctly for me.

Thanks.

Hi Redwolf - is scuab fada not singular and long brooms plural or is there a rule for this?

It's the genetive plural:

an scuab: the broom

na scuaibe: of the broom

na scuaba: the brooms

na scuab: of the brooms

The genetive plural often looks like the nominative singular. Your tip-off here is the definite article "na": You'll notice that in the nominative singular it's "an."

"fada" has the same form for singular and plural. The exception is that it takes an "h" after the "f" when it modifies a feminine noun. "Scuab" is feminine; hence "scuab fhada." (Please note that I changed this in my original answer as well. I was out walking my dog and suddenly thought "damn! "Scuab is feminine!" :lach: )
