I've been struggling to find the original lyrics used in the "We are ODST" trailer, Not the english, the gaelic.

The Phrase:

If we translate it, it's not going to match the original. You might do better to contact the makers of the game.

According to the description box for the video you posted, the song is called "Light of Aidan -- Lament." Have you tried Googling on that?

I see, well I have found the original song, and asked the guy if he has, or knows, the original lyrics. Yep I googled the original song last night, no joy. Man this song pisses me off. I keep your suggestion in mind in contacting the production company.

If it's any help, I couldn't really make out the lyrics of the song in the video, but it sounded like he was repeating the same phrase over and over...and I definitely didn't hear him sing the letters "ODST."

Are you certain that the English you have is supposed to be a direct translation? And do you know if it's supposed to be Scottish or Irish Gaelic? (They're different languages). I was having trouble picking out any words from the chant, but that could be because of the singer's accent...or it could be that he wasn't singing in Irish. I don't have time to listen to it again at the moment, but I'll give it a try later and see if I can make any sense of it.

No luck on finding anything else, I also have contacted Rupert Sanders, the director of the ODST, asking him if he has any info on it, hope to hear back from him soon.

I listened to both versions, and I don't hear a single recognizable word of Gaeilge or Gàidhlig. I checked around, and there is a lively online chat about it, with some people insisting it is clearly Gaelic (but being unable to list a single word of it), and a number of posters from Hungary saying things like "you idiots, they are singing in Hungarian."

Been getting a lot of that too, Well I emailed Rupert Sanders, the man who made the trailer, so we'll find out soon enough. (Maybe) I'll check hungarian too.

I think it sounds like a Scandinavian language.

I'm sure its not Hungarian (because I am Hungarian ). Some of the orders (from the video) is Hungarian but thats all.
So the question is still there, where can we find the lyrics?:)
