Thank you! If anyone is ever in southwest Washington state, US - here is his website (not to be immodest, but I built it, also!) - http://www.lunatictattoo.com - there are three artists in the shop right now - Leif is my tattooist. Here are some pics of the tattoo he did on my leg.

I am glad. I also used to have a negative look towards tattoos - at least large ones like I have now. I think a lot of it has to do with the message and the quality of the work.

It's amazing how detailed tattoos can be. Especially when they do portraits of people. Those colourful ones are really nice.
I've heard before on this site of people saving up for them. They must be very expensive.

They can be, yes. When you think of the hours of work that goes into something that intricate, you're talking about lots of money. Redwolf

I honestly never really kept track, but my best guess is $1600-1700(US) for the all of the Celtic tattoo on my left arm. He's a very generous person, too - I know would have cost much more if I had gone somewhere else. The shading on the helm took over 5 hours to complete. And not to be biased, but the angel wing is my favorite part of that tattoo a few posts up. In a few years I will be sure to come back and post pics of my Scottish piece.
