I like this site for some reason. There's no gimmicks or flashing lights but it makes me want to visit Ros Muc right away. Make sure to look at the photos and notice the posture of the dancers - this is the real folk dancing, not the regimental Comhaltas style you've seen on Riverdance.

For those who can read the Irish, it's written by a native speaker in a lovely natural flowing way and is a pleasure to read.

Have a look, like I said, it's no big deal but this site somehow works very well:

He (Cóilín) looks like he was quite the character!!

The dancing reminds me of something I got to witness and try and partake in when I was 8 through 10 years old. My friend had celtic roots of some sort and they would put on some shoes with big square heels (for noise effect) and do what I would call a jig (because I forgot what they called it). For the most part though they would always do this dancing in the door way over the jamb as it was better to mar it than the floor and also because it was better for noise as well because it was made of wood!!! I thought it was so "cool" and loved the music in the background, when there was music!!
