In Ireland, people say "ya" to ONE person and "ye" (pronounced YEE) to more than one person.


sorry, in my part of the States "ye" is usually pronounced (YUH). and "ya" is pronounced (YEAH)

yeah, the confusion comes from the southern talk cognate

y'all = you (pl)

but that is ye + all :mrgreen: and pronounced /yeowl/
