Hi all!
My friend's 18th is really soon and I've bought her a ring which I'd like to get engraved.
I really need a translation for 'eternal friendship' or something similar.
If you could help me out that would be fantastic.

The word for "eternal" can be either a separate word (síoraí) or a prefix (síor-). I'd opt for the prefix, since it saves space and letters:
síorchairdeas
cairdeas síoraí
Both of these mean "eternal friendship."
You can also say
cairdeas gan chríoch or cairdeas gan teorainn
These mean "Friendship without limit, infinite friendship."
cairdeas buan -- permanent friendship
cairdeas gan deireadh endless friendship
cairdeas daingean -- strong, steadfast friendship
