The girl replies that a "condensed" version just didn't seem to do him justice ... and because the report was so long --- she even burned her a CD, which she, of course included. It's cute really. The teacher stands there dumbfounded.

You built your own computer ??? I am truly impressed ! Thirteen is a lovely age. Believe it or not, I still remember a wee bit of that year. Keep those teachers on their toes, Conor !

it seems that even I know more irish than an average 13yrs old pupil, but when they'll reach my age, I'd be beaten.

cúpla rudaí beaga:

bcoz ur talking about the whole year's temperature generally and not yesterday, today or tomorrows weather etc. bíonn sé is better to use than tá sé

the other form of "gnach" is "gnáth" and this is generally what you use with "de" eg...de gnáth

coz it's sort of the "general year" and not past,present or future - the present form of the copula would be the better way to say it eg. Is é -43.5ºC
