I think the reason we don't translate words like Valhalla and Nirvana and whatnot into English is because there's no good way to do it, so there's probably also not a good way to translate them into Irish!
Orthodox and most Conservative Jews believe either in a heaven or the resurrection of the dead in the Messianic Age, or both. Reform and Reconstructionist Jews are all over the map on this, but tend not to support either of the traditional ideas. I would hesitate to call Christianity "Abrahamic." Judaism and Islam are much closer to each other than they are to Christianity: both worship a single, unitary Deity that cannot be depicted or represented; Christianity's notion of God is trinune and is frequently represented in statues, icons, and paintings. Valhalla really isn't all that it's cracked up to be, when you take into account that all of the heros who get to feast there will eventually be hacked into bloody bits at Ragnarok |

i see the words "hacked into bloody bits" & my curiosity is now peaked. Ragnarok??? Never heard of that. *runs off to google out new information* C |

In Norse mythology, Ragnarok is kinda like the apocolypse, where all the Norse Gods, Frost Giants, Evil Entities, etc., all battle to the death. |
