Hello all,
I am in desperate need of a translation. My father has recently passed away and we used to refer to him as the "lucky bear" as he was a huge person and always seemed to have the best of luck. If anyone can simply tell me how to say "Lucky Bear" in Gaelic I would be in debt to them forever. Please just send the phrase to my yahoo account: Bennyv7@yahoo.com . This is only because the funeral is on Monday and I may not be able to check this website before them with traveling and all. Bless your heart if you know the phrase in Gaelic.
Thank you,
James

Hi sorry to hear of your loss, i gcomhluadar na Naomh go raibh sé (may he be in the company of the saints).
Your translation would be:
An béar ámharach
An older word for bear is "Art" but I don't see a reference to it on the online dictionary.
