Re NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe, I don't know for a fact if his heritage is Irish, but I would almost bet the mortgage that it is Irish or at least Irish on his father's side.
In America, the Irish and the Italians have both come up in the world in the last 50 years. They were both treated badly in the United States when they first arrived and I remember seeing photographs of a young Irishman being lynched by a mob in Missouri in 1904 for allegedly killing an Anglo-American woman even though there wasn't a shred of evidence that he did. As late as the 1940's some people told my dad that he would be nothing because he was "Irish". Times have indeed changed! |

They have indeed. Is iomai cur is lúb sa saol.

Thank you very much Ailill,
It's always a pleasure to come back to this site. However, since I don't have a home computer and have to use library computers or other peoples' computers it makes things a little difficult at times! An t-adh ort / Good luck... talk to you later. Yours truly, Brian Costello Seattle, Wa. |

Been doing some surfing on this guy and he's a Harp alright. Son of Irish immigrants. He was seen in a restuarant in New Orleans singing Irish folk songs, according to the London Evening Standard. He's interested in the American Civil War so him and Jsmith would get along fine. "Tá an saol mór lán den fhilíocht ag an té dar dual a thuigbheáil agus ní thráfaidh an tobar go deo na ndeor."
