A chairde,

I'm looking for the proper pronunciation of the names of a few Irish poets. Thanks in advance for your help.

Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill
Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin

For the first one, roughly:

NOO-luh NEE GOH-null
If you can let a little air through your throat when you pronounce that G, you'll sound like a native. It's a slight gargling sound, but don't overdo it. In fact, many people would just pronounce it as a regular hard G.

For the second one, I haven't heard "Eiléan" pronounced, but I would say:

EH-lawn NEE HWILL-en-awn

Eiléan is prnounced the same as the English Elaine, if the fada is on the é.
