a friend of mine keeps putting things in his IMs, none of which seem familiar to me, and i'm not sure why. perhaps it's because i'm new at all of this. by any chance can someone translate this?

Ó Siodhacháin

thanks!

I'm guessing it's his name?

this one's kinda similar:
Shinnahan - Ó Sionacháin

maybe someone else knows the Anglicized version of that name :)

Ó Siodhacháin is the Irish version of Sheehan (is that pehaps his surname?), it's derived from the irish word for Peace and means "peaceful"
