I am looking for a translation for "Our bond is divine and eternal." By the way, are there any traditional Gaelic sayings on the subject of marriage and love? I am considering a wedding tattoo and would prefer to keep it very traditionally Irish instead of making something up. Especially if it contains the word "bond." Thank you for your help!

Our bond is divine and eternal.
Ár gealltanas sár-álainn agus síoraí. Wait for confirmation, my grammar is not so shabby. Ní bheidh Éire shaor ar síocháin choíche, agus gan an ceart, ní féidir an tsíocháin a bheith ann.

I'm not sure, the only Irish proverbs I know are kinda tongue-in-cheek, so hold on for someone who might be able to get something traditional from Irish wedding cards ...
I do have a nice one about love (well kinda about the bond of marriage too) As beirt táimid aontaithe anois From two we have become one oh, and this one: Dhá croí aontaithe go deo Two hearts united forever Ádh mór!(Good Luck!) Is é Christian Stoehr mo chroí

There is no verb there so we need to find one rapid. We can probably shorten the agus to 's in this instance also. For the verb you could just put a Tá at the start of the phrase- and that works fine. But I think it works better if you say.. Is sár-álainn 's síoraí ár gealltanas By the way what does not so shabby mean over there- over here it implies very good It's a job that's never started that takes the longest to finish.
