Hello everyone. I just found this forum. I've been working on some old Irish songs and need some help with pronunciations. For instance, can anyone give me the pronunciation of "Caomai" for starters? Thanks much. Look forward to "learning" gaelic with your help...

Hey. Fáilte go IrishGaelicTranslator.com --- An bhfuil tú cinnte gur focal Gaeilge é "caomai"? Ní dóigh liom féin é.
Hey. Welcome to IrishGaelicTranslator.com --- Are you sure that "caomai" is an Irish word? I don't think so.

Thanks for the reply. I"ve seen the name "Caomai" as the early Irish name for the constellation we know as Orion. My understanding is that Caomai means "armed king" in english. I'm not sure my source is correct of course, but it's a proper noun if that helps.
