Please help. I am looking for the Gaelic translation of the following phrase to use on a tatoo:

Remember those who came before you.

I'll suggest something similar before the others translate your version:
'Fill ar do dhúchas' = Return to your roots

It's kind of a "catch phrase" for the Irish

Cuimhnigh ar do dhúchas = Remember your heritage (where you came from)
