Now that I have learned how to "burn" CD's, and from Santa received a spindle of blank CD's to record on, I have been busy searching the archives for all those old music threads we have about what music is COOL.

So, I reviewed one song by Horslips called The King of the Faeries and I am hooked. Can anyone recommend more instrumentals like it? I need upbeat stuff to run to.

GRMA!

Corvus

hehe I usually run to whatever RnaG is playin  but then again I run inside next to my computer
If that's the same King of the Faeries I'm thinkin of...nice choice 8)

two mainland European, but really great trad celtrock bands I could recommend would be: Rapalje and Tears for Beers they should have some runnable stuff (heh everyone dances to exhaustion at their concerts)

I played the flute in school. Violin was my instrument of choice but they had to many violinists so I ended up playing the flute. Didn't regret it.

-The Invergarry Castle by Bonnie Rideout

-Balindore by Capercaillie

-Silver Spear Reels by Capercaillie

-Darshannon by Celtic Cross (This one is a little techno, but still very good)

-Butterfly Set by Cianan

-Dark River Reels by Cianan

-Castle's Path by Cianan

-Horses by Ashley MacIsaac

-Wingstock by Ashley MacIsaac

-Epona's Thunder by Gypsy Soul

-Ghostwood by Lothlorien

You have all been so helpful! GRMMA! I can't wait to get started making some more CD's. Helps when one is on vacation for two weeks--

in a row!!! (yea me!)

I have been bitterly sideswiped by Crash Bandicoot on my daughter's new PlayStation2. Those things are waaaaayyyyy to addicting. This has unleashed a horrible (heretofore unknown) rivalry between she and I. So much for mother/daughter bonding
