Corvus,
Thought of you when I ran across this GREAT site. It's all instrumental but also has the lyrics separately so you can sing along. Check it out! Thought this was great. It has over 80 popular Irish songs on it. http://www.socc.ie/~irishmidifiles/midifiles.htm Ooooh EOIN...would you consider a Gaeilge music link, le do thoil? |

Yeah and the first thing to go on there would be the www.enya.com site so we might not have to translate Ebudae weekly anymore

If you like instrumentals, two CDs I can strongly recommend are Joanie Madden's "Song of the Irish Whistle 2" and Mary Bergin's "Feadóg Stain." If you enjoy mixed vocals and instrumentals, anything by Solas is worth having in your collection. Will Millar's got some good purely instrumental stuff out there these days too...his "Journey of the Celts" is fabulous, though not as trad as some.
There are a lot of good, small productions of Irish instrumental music as well. I have a nice album by a group called Kilkenny Road that I never would have heard about if it weren't for the fact that I hang out on Chiff & Fipple (a whistler's board). Redwolf |

If you're looking for stuff on the web, you might like this site as well. The playing level ranges from beginner to expert, so you kind of have to pick and choose, but there is some good stuff there (and, despite the name, it's not all tin whistle stuff). I even have a track there, in the airs section ("The Parting Glass").

I'd suggest:
The Call to Dance Medley (also called Westburne Reel and Andy Renwick's Ferret)[i] by Leahy The Gaelic Reels by Capercaillie Are some of the songs mentioned available to download or atleast hear? Slán go fóill,
