I was wondering if I could get a translation to some of the lyrics in this song, as well as the title. They are:

Siúil, siúil, siúil a rúin
Siúil go sochair agus siúil go ciúin
Siúil go doras agus ealaigh liom
Is go dtí tú mo mhuirnín slán

Thank you for your help!

"Walk, walk, walk my love
Walk calmly and walk quietly
Walk to the door and escape with me
And may you go safely, my darling"

As you might guess from that, the title siúil a rúin means "walk my love".

Hi, try this

Go, go, go my love
Go quietly and peacefully
Go to the door and flee with me
And may you go safely my dear

Maybe you should go to the door and flee :lach: Anyway it's basically a confirmation, which is always good.

I'm fairly positive siúil does actually mean "walk," though, you wouldn't use it for a generic translation of "go."

I much prefer the version by Clannad and of course the singing voice of Enya's older sister! If you look you'll find it on YouTube too.

Her name is Máire (Anglicized "Moya"). And yes, she has a lovely voice. She's also a very goood harper.

Quite a few singers have recorded this song, and there seems to be quite a few variations in the spelling as well. I've just been looking (as usual) at the Celtic Lyrics Corner web site.
