I want to know how to spell my first name (Caitlin) in Gaelic. I think I figured out my last name: Giolla Laoire for Colleary. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for the help everyone!!

As far as I know, Caitlin is pretty much correct. Wait for confirmation though :-)

'Caitlin' is an Irish name of Origin... you can't exactly translate something back into it's own languge! (jk) :D

It's Irish and if I'm not mistaken it means girl or little girl, don't have my dictionary handy.

As far as I know the Irish spelling has an accent.

Caitlín: Pronounced 'Cat-leen'

'Caitlin' would be pronounced 'Cat-lin"

I considered

Caitlin as Katelyn
Caitlín as Kathleen

but there is no end to the mutation of Irish names in the hands of the Yanks  They all still think that Megan is Irish  (ok 99%)
