Based on a translation of Molly na gcuach Ní Chuillneaáin that I have, Is fada liom uaim í translates to "I miss her". I would assume that Is fada linn uainn tú would translate to "We miss you". If that is correct, how would you make it future tense or do you need to? Ó Dónaill says that the copula is is both present and future. Does that mean that if you want to say to a person in whose presence you currently are that you will miss them, you use is and the circumstance of you currently being with them will imply that you are talking in the future tense?
