Alright, I've been all over the U.S., as I do live here, and one thing I manage to find is that in nearly every major city, there is a street named Bonnie Brae. In my home town, there's a whole subdivision built around Bonnie Brae. Is Bonnie Brae rooted in Gaelic and has just been mangled in pronunciation and spelling over the past one hundred years? I'm just curious.

I think I have seen this in a Scottish rather than Irish context. You might try a Scots Gaelic forum as someone there might have more information.
