Hi Ailill, Sorry I haven't responded to your kind translation efforts sooner. Thank you many times for sending the poem translation to me. I've been on a rather roundabout journey to obtain the translation and a phonetic pronunciation -- I contacted the Berlitz folks in New York, who said they could farm it out to one of their many translators in Dublin, who would do the job for $130. Alas, I'm a high school teacher, couldn't afford it. And besides, they would have taken "a few weeks" to do it. So, with your permission, I'd like to use your "amateur" translation for my choir piece. Is that OK? I had my Irish teacher, who lives in New Jersey, give me a translation guide, so it's shaping up to be a workable version. Let me know if this agrees with you -- I could possibly send you a CD of one of our December performances, if you can somehow send me an address. Otherwise, I shall think very good thoughts about you. And thanks again.

Sally :D
