My best friend's name is Chelcie, and i'd like to translate her name into irish gaelic for her birthday card. chelcie originally comes from chelsea, and is an english name, but any help would be so very much appreciated!!

I don't know but you could try this: Go to http://www.namenerds.com/irish/, click on Names For People, then on English Names Translated Into Irish. That name is not listed but there is a place down in the page where they say you can e-mail them for a translation.

For many names that come originally from English, you won't find an Irish version. But if the name comes from Latin or Greek, you'll have a better chance of having an Irish version.
