Can anyone confirm for me that Cara Macree means Pal of My Heart?
Thanks.

That's right.
cara = friend
mo = my
cridhe = heart
Cara Macree would make a very nice name.
Mise, le meas.

But cridhe is probably a Scots Gaelic word. For the Irish:
cara mo chroí = friend of my heart
kor-a muh kree
